PAIN FRIENDLY MOVEMENT
Sarah is part of the ‘Yoga for Pain Community’ in Australia. Having trained in chronic pain management with Rachael West, creator of Yoga for Pain Care, she is listed in Australia as a Level 1 teacher in Yoga for Pain Management.
Movement techniques have been shown to have a variety of benefits for those with chronic pain. Breathing and relaxation techniques help to calm the sympathetic nervous system, dampening pain signals. Clients also learn to reconnect with their bodies, rediscovering movement through graded practices.
